Or maybe it is an unfair burden to place on her. Am I expecting to much? Maybe. gunslingergregi PERMALINK November 17, 2009 12:07 am Well yea money is not that big of a deal when you have it unless you don’t have it then it becomes a big deal. Like yea when we where rich having money felt like a normal thing and we where supposed to be treated special everywhere we went. Thought it was normal. Then we didn’t have money and surprize surprize no money equals a little bit different treatment. The Iconoclast PERMALINK November 17, 2009 3:03 pm The reality is that there is a very significant % of women for whom SPENDING MONEY is the most important thing in the world. For this kind of woman, the thrill of whipping out a credit card & buying something is greater than any orgasm could ever match. She has a closer emotional relationship with favorite pieces of clothing that with her boyfriend or husband. In her mind, the main purpose of her husband’s life is to buy her things, and God help him if his career ever stumbled and puts a crimp in her buying. At the time he most needs her support, he’ll get exactly the opposite. I don’t know what % of women are like this…I’d guess somewhere between 20% and 50%. If Bhetti is right that “Whenever I see a woman obsessed with buying things — women I know well clothed in Gucci, Dior and with unnecessarily large houses — I also see a woman trying to buy things that will never fill a hole in her life and that uses admiration for her taste as a poor substitute for a satisfying relationship”..then there are an awful lot of women with holes in their lives. For guys, avoiding this kind of women is life-and-death. One clue is her parents, especially her mother. If her mother is a crazy spender, the warning flag is obvious, but also if her mother is a MISER, the daughter is likely to have an unwholesome attitude toward money. |
